Jackett: No plans to strengthen his squad
Millwall boss Kenny Jackett has admitted that he has no plans to add any new faces to his first team squad, despite Tuesday night's poor defeat at home to Northampton Town in the Carling Cup.

The Lions manager fielded several people out of position as he tried to find cover for injured or suspended players, with winger Chris Hackett filling in at right back and left back Tony Craig covering for the suspended Paul Robinson in the centre of defence.

And although his side have failed to win either of their opening two games, blowing a 3-1 lead against Oldham Athletic on Saturday, Jackett believes his squad is still strong enough for this division.

"I'm not particularly looking at the moment," he told the News Shopper. "I'm looking for the players within to find a blend which suits us and then take the club forward.

"There were some good signs from both games, the fact we scored three goals at Oldham and dominated on Tuesday.

"But as a manager you want to be turning those positives into results because this builds up everybody's confidence."

His comments will cause some concern amongst The Lions faithful, who fill the defence is one area that could definitely be strengthened before the transfer window slams shut.
