Jackett seeks Kandol resolution

Millwall boss Kenny Jackett has revealed that he is eager to keep Leeds United striker Tresor Kandol at The Den and is hopeful of entering negotiations with new boss Simon Grayson shortly.

The DR Congo international has been on loan with The Lions since the beginning of the season, making an immediate impact when he scored after just 13 seconds of his debut, but his deal is set to expire at the end of the month.

Jackett is hopeful of keeping the player until the end of the season but is aware that the situation that brough Kandol to the club in the first place has now changed, as Leeds weren't expecting The Lions to be challenging for promotion.

"I will be speaking to the new Leeds manager as Tresor's parent club to see what his thoughts are," Jackett told the Southwark News. "I don't know where Leeds see the situation. I know Tresor is happy at Millwall and has enjoyed his time here and we will see how the situation progresses."
