Jackett wants striker response

The 17-goal striker will miss the Lions next three games after receiving a straight red-card during Tuesday night's goalless draw with Bristol City for a late lunge on Jamal Campbell-Ryce.

However, Jackett is hoping Josh McQuoid, who has yet to score since moving from Bournemouth in January, experienced front-man Neil Harris, youngster John Marquis and Hameur Bouazza can fill the void.

He said: "This provides the opportunity for one or two who have been kicking their heels or knocking on my door to come into the side and show what they can do.

"We have alternatives up front and we go to Coventry on Saturday believing we can keep our recent good run going and maintain pressure on the sides above us."
