Absence seemingly makes the heart grow fonder, or so the story goes, but in the case of Kenny Jackett and Adam Bolder that really could be the case after the Millwall manager expressed an interest in taking the player back only hours after he returned to his parent club.

The Queens Park Rangers midfielder was recalled from his loan spell at The Den by Hoops boss Paulo Sousa who wanted to take a look at the midfielder before deciding whether or not he was surplus to requirements and Jackett is now keeping his fingers crossed in the hope he can get the 28-year-old back, possibly on a permanent basis.

"Sousa wants to have a look at him for a week or so," The Lions boss told the South London Press. "I have been really pleased with Bolder and would be interested in bringing him back.

"But it depends on his parent club. We shall see what happens in the next couple of weeks."
