Paul Jones' loan spell with The Lions is unlikely to be extended despite the lack of suitable cover at the club for Andy Marshall because Millwall can't afford his wages.

Manager Colin Lee had hoped to extend Jones' stay after his initial spell came to an end but a deal with Wolverhampton Wanderers over the Welsh International's wages could not be struck.

Jones will therefore return to Molineux after tomorrow's home game against Cardiff City.
