Marshall: On his way?
Millwall goalkeeper Andy Marshall appears to have played his last game for the club after he revealed that he hasn't even entered negotiations about a new contract, let alone been offered one.

Marshall's current contract expires at the end of June and with the club currently without a manager the keeper expects to become a free agent.

"I've had no talks with Millwall," Marshall told the South London Press."So I'm assuming I'll be leaving.

"Other players have been told whether they are staying or going so I have to presume I won't be around next season.

"I'm sad about that, because I did enjoy being there. The first 18 months were a good time - working under Dennis Wise and Ray Wilkins was a fantastic period in my life. I was really enjoying my football again.

"I was just sad, as the fans were, that the club did not push on from there and it all started to disappear."

Marshall was critical of the board after Dennis Wise left and made no secret of his disappointment at Steve Claridge's appointment - which made him unpopular with many fans - but he did not shy away from the fact that it could have all been so different.

"I totally accept that the reason for that was money, which dictated what sort of club we became. But it was still disappointing. Sadly, it was all too obvious that was going to happen with all that went on.

"Two years ago we were in the FA Cup Final - and the downfall since then has been astonishing."
