Lee: Pleased with performance
Millwall boss Colin Lee was quick to praise his Millwall side last night as they secured their first win of the season at the eighth attempt.

The Lions looked to heading for a draw after new signing Jermaine Wright levelled Carl Cort's opener for Wolves but with the game entering injury time, Barry Hayles popped up to secure a valuable winner.

“We’ve lost games we’ve deserved to get something out of so it does balance itself out," commented Lee after the game. “We’ve had an horrendous time of giving bad goals away but we stuck to our plan and won the game.

“I don’t think they expected us to play that way. Sometimes when you do catch teams unexpectedly, you get the result.”

Lee also revealed that Hayles was fortunate to be on the pitch to grab his 90th minute goal.

“Going into extra time with four minutes left we had to make a tactical move. I was going to take Barry off but then he scored.”
