Peeters: Missed chance
Steve Claridge's Millwall side - containing four trialists - lost 2-0 last night in a pre-season friendly against Southend United.

Goals from Mitchell Cole and Freddy Eastwood either side of half time secured victory but The Lions had their fair share of chances of pulling themselves back into the game with both Mark Phillips and Bob Peeters going close in the first half.

The second forty-five saw a string of changes by both sides which distrupted the game but The Shrimpers rapped the game up after a poor clearance by Bojan Isailovic in the Millwall game saw Eastwood fire home.

Claridge now heads back to Norway as a second Millwall XI prepare to play the next game of their short pre-season tour.
