Lions eyeing Hollands

Danny Hollands could finally become a Millwall player this summer, two years after rejecting The Lions in favour of Bournemouth.

A product of Chelsea's youth academy, the versatile midfielder impressed many with his performances during The Cherries' ill-fated fight against relegation last summer and although he expressed an interest in staying at Dean Court the player admits that the south coast club might be tempted to cash-in on the player.

"I've been here for two years and love the place and the people," he told The Bournemouth Echo. "The fans and the lads are great so there would be no problems with staying here.

"But it's not always as easy as that. There are a lot of things that go on and you have to agree things. When you get relegated, there is a budget you have to reach as a club."

Hollands first attracted former Millwall boss Nigel Spackman in the summer of 2006 and despite being wooed by the club, he chose to sign a two-year contract with The Cherries after being told that the then manager couldn't guarantee him a starting place in his Lions side.
