Lions go into the pot

Goals from loanees Ahmet Brkovic and Will Hoskins secured The Lions place in the Third Round of the FA Cup but they made heavy work of it in front of less than 5,000 fans at The Den.

The club had tried to attract supporters to the game by lowering ticket prices but the decision to close the lower tiers rather than one stand had a knock-on effect with regards to the atmosphere, with many likening the match to a pre-season friendly.

That won't bother manager Kenny Jackett, however, who will be looking forward to tomorrow's draw, with The Lions ball number 50 in the pot.
