Lions have cash to spend

Millwall chairman John Berylson has confirmed there is money available to manager Kenny Jackett for team strengthening ahead of their first season back in the npower Championship. And American Berylson believes the Lions will get an early idea as to how much ground they must make up on teams in the second tier when they take on relegated Hull in their opening home match. Berylson told the club's official website: "We're very excited to see how we do against these teams coming down. "We've played Leeds, we know Leeds, but playing Hull City in our first home game is going to be very interesting because it's a good way to measure where we really are and what we need, what we don't need and what we're really up against. "Kenny has a budget. He has money to spend. It's for him to determine what he needs. Kenny's point of view is pretty much that no position is safe and his job is to always have a better player for every position and I've bought into that pretty much."
