The 29-year-old, who can operate either in the centre of the park or on the wing, signed a two-year-deal with the club this afternoon.
"I see Danny as a wide midfielder rather than a winger as such," Jackett told the club's official website. "I'm sure he'll prove to be a good addition for us.
"At this stage we are still hoping that we can add further to the squad before the deadline."
