Lions live to fight another day

Millwall's name will be in today's FA Cup Fourth Round draw but The Lions will need a replay to overcome Derby County after the two sides were deadlocked at 1-1 at The Den yesterday afternoon.

The home side struck first through Lewis Grabban shortly after half-time with a delicate header from a Chris Hackett cross but the Millwall striker was guilty of wasting several gilt-edged chances in the first forty-five minutes. However, The Lions could not hold onto their lead for long and Scottish international Kris Commons equalised for The Rams three minutes later.

Millwall had chances to win the game late on, with Steve Morison seeing a header hacked off the line before putting another chance wide in injury time and the two sides must fight it out again at Pride Park in two weeks time.

"There is some disappointment, because it was a winning performance from us," manager Kenny Jackett told BBC London after the final whistle. "We got our noses in front, conceded too quickly and too easily for me and it went a little bit dead after the goal.

"But that's the only thing I can really criticise the side for, because there were a lot of positives today."
