The Lions have only scored twice in the league this season, neither of which came from one of the club's centre forwards, and with the team struggling near the foot of the table Donachie knows that he has to turn things around fast.
Ipswich Town youngster Dean Bowditch has been linked with the club in recent days but sources from within The Den suggest that Watford's Will Hoskins is a more likely target.
"We are desperate to get a bit of a boost, " said Donachie. "I have talked to players over the last few days. We know we must strengthen."
