Kuqi: Training with The Lions
Millwall could make a surprise move for Iceland Under-21 international Njazi Kuqi in an effort to boost their attack if on-loan striker Danny Haynes returns to Ipswich Town.

Kuqi, who was released by Birmingham City in the summer, is currently without a club and has been training with The Lions having failed to impress during a loan spell with Peterborough United. But with Ben May and Darren Byfield still out injured, caretaker boss Willie Donachie is looking for suitable cover should Haynes leave.

The Lions are hopeful that Ipswich Town will allow the club to extend the striker's loan spell at The Den, which is currently due to end after Sunday's game away to Swansea City, but the youngster's impact hasn't gone an unnoticed at Portman Road and it is thought that manager Jim Magilton wants him back in order to boost his own team's fortunes.

"Njazi is training with us and we will be taking a closer look at him," Donachie told the club's official website. "He is a Finland Under-21 international.

"If Ipswich were top of the table they would be happy to allow Danny Haynes to remain with us, but I understand they may wish to have him back."
