Millwall Football Club have announced that they will be seeking legal advice with regards to the charges made against them by the Football Association in relation to the crowd trouble during the team's Carling Cup game against West Ham United.

The Lions were hit with three separate charges, namely failing to ensure their supporters "refrained from violent, threatening, obscene and provocative behaviour", "did not throw missiles on to the pitch" and "refrained from racist behaviour" even though the match was played at Upton Park and therefore beyond their control.

"We have meetings with our legal advisors at the end of this week and then we will decide on a strategy," Andy Ambler told the Southwark News. "We are trawling through all of the evidence that has been sent to us and we'll be getting a case together in due course."
