Lions set to miss out on

Frenchman Mathias Doumbe looks set to turn down Millwall in favour of a move to MK Dons.

The centre half, who played in Richard Sadlier's testimonial last weekend, was offered a two-year deal by manager Kenny Jackett after impressing during a week-long trial but having had his contract cancelled by mutual consent by Plymouth Argyle it now looks as if he is off to join Paul Ince in Milton Keynes.

"It looks like he is going to MK Dons," a resigned Jackett told supporters at last night's Fans Forum, leaving his side short of defensive options for tomorrow's opener against Southampton.
