Jeffers: Target
With strikers Barry Hayles and Carl Asaba still struggling with injuries, Millwall boss Dave Tuttle is set to pursue Gillingham's Darren Byfield and Charlton's Francis Jeffers in a bid to beat the drop.

Tuttle was desperate to sign at least two more strikers during the transfer window following the arrival of Dutchman Berry Powel and the club made a late bid for Byfield, which was turned down by The Gills. Now the manager is hopeful of using loan system in order to bolster his attacking options.

"There are two centre-forwards that we'd like to sign," revealed Tuttle. "One from the Premiership and one from the league below, and we'd like to get both in as soon as possible.

"Both players are keen on coming and that's the area that we need to strengthen. We've only scored seven goals at home this season which is disappointing."
