Donachie: In with a shout
Despite revealing that they have received a "significant number" of applications for the vacant post of manager at The Den, Millwall chairman Stewart Till insists that he and the board will take their time in order to find the right man to replace Nigel Spackman.

And they haven't ruled out giving the job to caretaker Willie Donachie either.

The Lions are unbeaten under the former Scottish international, who guided the team to their first away victory of the season last weekend against Rotherham United, and Donachie has admitted that he is keen to take on the role on a permanent basis.

"We have received a significant number of applications already," Till told the club's official site. "There may be other appropriate candidates whom we might approach.

"However, the last two results have confirmed that with Willie Donachie currently in charge, the team are in good hands and we would be more than happy if he continues to make a good case for being given the position on a permanent basis."
