Marshall - On his way?
Millwall goalkeeper Andy Marshall has dropped a huge hint that he may leave the club during the summer after the club allegedly failed to keep the promises they made to the player when he signed.

Marshall, who was signed from Ipswich Town last season, is angry at what he sees as a lack of investment in a squad that had qualified for the UEFA Cup and are now pushing for a play-off place.

"Things that were promised to me, such as investment in players, have not happened," he said. "I'm now going towards the back end of my career, and I don't want to be hanging around."

Marshall added: "I came here because Dennis and Ray were here, and because they were going to be given a very good opportunity to get us into the Premiership. I feel the club has fallen short of that.

"Everyone was buzzing at the start of the season because we had reached the FA Cup final the previous year.

"I was specifically told things, and some of those things haven't come true, which disappoints me."

The keeper's outburst is the latest in a string of very public attacks on the board by players, staff and former chairmen and has added further to the speculation that manager Dennis Wise is living on borrowed time.
