Martin deal falls through

David Martin's proposed moved to Derby County has fallen through after the player failed to agree personal terms with the Championship outfit.

The winger was set to complete a £200,000 move to Pride Park but having arrived to complete a medical the deal dramatically collapsed shortly before the transfer window slammed shut at 5pm.

Manager Kenny Jackett had reluctantly agreed to the move, hoping any funds received would help fund a bid for one of his potential transfer targets but will now have the player available for selection for the rest of the season.

However, looking on the bright side, cash-strapped Crystal Palace were due 50% of any sell-on fee!
