Martin out for four games

Having struck the winner on Tuesday evening and given the Millwall fans some hope of avoiding the drop, Dave Martin's week has finished on a low with the news that the groin injury he picked up during the game against Southend United will keep him out of action for at least the next four matches.

Martin tore the muscle late on and Lions boss Kenny Jackett had hoped that it wasn't as bad as first feared but a scan showed that the player will need at least two weeks treatment before he's fit enough to return to action.

To make matters worse for Jackett, he could also be without Marcus Bignot and Paul Robinson for the trip to Tranmere. Bignot is currently nursing a foot injury while skipper Robinson could miss the game after hurting his hip midweek.
