Mark McCammon has finally got his wish and joined Brighton & Hove Albion on a full-time basis.

The lanky striker sealed the deal yesterday afternoon and signed a contract that will expire at the end of next season. But McCammon, who has yet to score for his new club during two loan spells, couldn't resist having a pop at his former club.

"I've come out of the gutter at Millwall," exclaimed the centre forward. "And now I've come here to try and score goals, and help the team accumulate points and survive."

McCammon was signed by Mark McGhee at the tail end of the 2002/03 season and made an initial impact with a couple of goals. But despite making a brief appearance in last year's FA Cup Final and in the UEFA Cup campaign earlier this season, those proved to be his only goals in Millwall colours and he had dropped down the pecking order at The Den.
