Brighton manager Mark McGhee is considering whether or not to make a move for central defender Joe Dolan.

The former Northern Ireland U-21 international has been on-loan at the Withdean Stadium for the past two months and played a key role in keeping The Seagulls in the Championship. And having fallen behind the likes of Mark Phillips and Paul Robinson in The Lions' pecking order, Dolan may see the move as a chance to resurrect his injury-hit career.

"I've thrown down a bit of a challenge for Joe Dolan," said McGhee.

"I've told him I have to see him in pre-season, and I have to see him get back to the fitness levels that he was when I knew him at Millwall."
