McInnes: On his way?

According to reports in The Dundee Evening Telegraph, former West Bromwich Albion midfielder Derek McInnes could be on his way to Millwall to become manager Nigel Spackman's First Team Coach.

The Dundee United captain is believed to have reached an agreement with the Tannadice club to enable him to move to The Den after being told that he was no longer wanted by the Scottish club, despite having a year left on his contract.

Spackman is said to be keen on signing the 34-year-old in order to add a bit of experience to his young squad and is thought to have offered McInnes a three-year player-coach deal.
