McLeod on the horizon?

Izale McLeod could be set to make a sensational return to Millwall after secret talks between Millwall, Charlton Athletic and the strikers representatives sought to thrash out a suitable resolution for all concerned.

McLeod's contract was terminated, allegedly by mutual consent, by The Lions last week after the player had a bust-up with manager Kenny Jackett prior to the 3-2 defeat at the hands of Oldham Athletic but the waters were muddied when his parent club claimed that the player was still technically property of Millwall.

To make matters worse, rumours coming from The Den suggested that The Lions were liable for the player's wages until the end of the season while it was suggested that The Addicks could not afford to take the player back.

The three parties are said to have met earlier this week, with the PFA acting as mediators, in the hope of resolving the situation, with the likely outcome being a return to The Den for McLeod.
