Hayles: Saw red at Norwich
Millwall manager Colin Lee has spoken out over how frustrating it is to have players sent off so often, while opposition offences go unpunished.

The Lions have had three players sent off this season - Adrian Serioux, Jody Morris and Barry Hayles have all seen red this year. Lee thinks that referee's see Millwall as the 'bad boys' of the league and controversial reds would go unnoticed under the FA's radar.

Morris's sending off against Cardiff last month went some way to proving the Millwall Boss's point. Morris was sent of for two yellow cards and in particular the second yellow was extremely controversial. Replays showed that Morris took the ball and then the man, but after an appeal to the FA, Morris had a ban extension and missed the trip to Hull City.

Lee told the South London press: "We are being labelled bad boys and that is unfair.People are labelling us because of the name Millwall. The tag we carry with us is out of date. That is having a psychological effect on the people who make the decisions. There have been some unnecessary bookings and sending-offs.

"Barry Hayles' dismissal was avoidable and so was Adrian Serioux' against Coventry. We have been suffering from the negativity around this club, which was there a long time ago, but it has stuck with us. That is an unfair advantage for our opponents. I do not think we are any worse than any other sides. I encourage competitiveness within the rules.

"Barry will be dealt with in exactly the same way as any player here. We have a set of rules running alongside the FA's. We may not make a big scene about it, but players know if they don't abide by our rules, they pay the consequences."
