Millwall have never reached a major final. The Evening Standard Five-a-sides and the odd appearance in one of the many faces of the LDV Vans trophy is the best the club can offer. But on Sunday all that could change, with The Lions set to face a rampant Sunderland side managed by former Millwall boss, Mick McCarthy.

And its not just the fans that are buzzing. The possibility of appearing in the FA Cup Final has sent the players into a spin as well.

"Sunday will be a dream come true for us," revealed winger Paul Ifill. "Obviously a few of the older lads like Dennis and Ray have been involved, and I think Muzzy's been to the Semi Final, but for the younger lads who have started out here at Millwall it is a dream come true. Unbelievable."

"There is a good team spirit here and we are all positive enough to think that we can go there and win, but they'll be thinking the same thing so it is going to be hard."

"Last time we got to a Final was at Wembley and of course we wanted to win, we always do, but the reward of winning the Auto Windscreens Shield is nothing like the reward on offer this time - a place in Europe and the FA Cup Final. None of us could ever have dreamed of that."

And its not just the youngster who are dreaming of the Final. Former Sunderland striker Daniele Dichio is hoping to put one over his former club.

"It's a good thing in a way that I know a few of the players there because I know what their strengths are, but they are a team on a decent run at the moment."

"Sunderland are playing well, they are in the Play-Off positions with a game in hand. They are full of confidence so it's going to be a good battle but I'm very much looking forward to it and hope that the boys go on and achieve the win that we all want."

"This is definitely the biggest game of my career, if you ask the 11 players going out there they will all say the same thing."
