Millwall sign Liverpool defender

With the Emergency Loan Transfer deadline closing today, Lions boss Colin Lee has already captured his first player with the signing of Liverpool's Amercian defender Zak Whitbread, who can operate either at left back or the centre of defence.
The inital deal lasts until January 3rd and will then be extended until the end of the season.
Whitbread has made six appearances for the Reds since breaking into the senior side last season and played in Liverpool's 3-0 victory over Millwall in last year's Carling Cup competition.
