Millwall throw it away yet again

Last updated : 29 November 2003 By Neil Andrews
Millwall once again threw away a lead to a team below them in the table and have now failed to win a game away from The Den since the 1-0 victory against Sunderland back in August.

The game started brightly for The Lions, who ran rampant over a poor Bradford City side, and they went into the break 2-0 up with goals from Tim Cahill and on-loan signing Nick Chadwick. However, City manager Bryan Robson changed his team around at the interval and switched to a 4-3-3 formation and the gamble paid off.

Goals from Danny Cadamateri, Andy Gray and Michael Branch gave the home side a 3-2 victory after Millwall sat too far back having decided to protect their lead.

Millwall have now gone five games without a win and have only picked up one point from the last four. On this form, The Lions will be lucky to avoid the drop, let alone be in contention for one of the play-off spots.

A very bad day all round for a team that likes to throw games away for fun.
