Millwall V Burnley at The Den - Match Preview

Abdou misses out for Millwall

Jimmy Abdou will be missing from the Millwall squad for the visit of leaders Burnley.

The midfielder was sent off towards the end of last weekend's 1-1 draw at Reading and serves a one-match ban.

Boss Steve Lomas also has injury concerns over winger Lee Martin (hip), striker Martyn Waghorn (ankle), defenders Mark Beevers (knee) and Paul Connolly (groin) and former Clarets midfielder Richard Chaplow (groin).

Alan Dunne has completed a two-match ban and is set to replace Connolly at right-back, Shaun Derry could be recalled in midfield and Steve Morison is pushing for a start in attack.

Burnley will once again run the rule over midfield duo Scott Arfield and Dean Marney.

The Clarets have won their last seven games in the league but were without both winger Arfield (groin) and central midfielder Marney (thigh) for the midweek Capital One Cup loss to West Ham.

Keith Treacy was sent off in the dying embers of that clash and so begins a one-match suspension, meaning on-loan Stoke winger Michael Kightly is likely to be restored to the starting XI.

Boss Sean Dyche does have David Jones back from a one-game suspension so he could slot in should Marney miss out again while Ross Wallace (knee), another midfielder, is a long-term absentee.
