Millwall V Nottm Forest at The Den - Match Preview

Defensive woe for Lions

Millwall are short in defence with Danny Shittu and Shane Lowry suspended for the visit of Nottingham Forest.

Skipper Shittu serves a one-match ban following his red card after the final whistle of Tuesday night's 2-1 defeat by Blackburn, and Lowry completes a three-match suspension for 15 bookings.

Mark Beevers was deputising at left-back for Lowry but is now likely to move back to centre-half in place of Shittu.

Tottenham loanee Adam Smith missed out against Rovers through illness and should return to the back four although Jack Smith, Alan Dunne or Scott Malone could also step in at left-back.

Midfield duo Sean St Ledger (ankle) and Liam Trotter (knee) will be assessed but winger Chris Taylor (groin) is definitely out.

Nottingham Forest defender Dan Harding could feature for the first time under Billy Davies.

Harding had been a regular in the team prior to Davies returning for a second spell as manager at the beginning of February.

The full-back might get his chance at The Den with Gonzalo Jara Reyes out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury and on-loan Chelsea defender Sam Hutchinson nursing a knock.

Irish winger Stephen McLaughlin is another who could come into the reckoning after getting valuable minutes under his belt in the development squad recently following an ankle problem.

Former Lion Darius Henderson will miss out on a return to his old club as the striker completes a three-match ban.

Forest head to London eighth in the table and two points shy of the play-off places after a six-game winless run.
