Millwall v Reading- Preview

Millwall will be without Darren Carter when they host Reading. The midfielder, who is on loan from Preston, suffered an ankle injury during Saturday's draw at Nottingham Forest.

Boss Kenny Jackett will therefore be hoping Liam Trotter, who missed out against Forest with a groin problem, passes a late fitness test to take his place in the centre.

Striker Theo Robinson was an unused substitute at the City Ground after joining from Huddersfield and will hope to make his debut. Defender Tony Craig was also on the bench after recovering from the metatarsal injury he suffered in last season's play-off final.

Strikers Shaun Batt (knee) and John Marquis (wrist) are still on the sidelines.

Reading boss Brian McDermott has an unchanged squad available to him for the trip. The Royals picked up their first home win of the season against Crystal Palace on Saturday and will line up in similar shape at the New Den.

Striker Shane Long was in superb form against the Eagles, winning two penalties with his running and converting one. Ian Harte scored on his debut from the second spot-kick and will continue at left-back, leaving summer signing Marcus Williams on the bench.

Midfielder Brynjar Gunnarsson may find two games in four days too much so Michail Antonio could come in. Right-back Andy Griffin remains out with a hamstring injury and midfielder Jay Tabb (ankle) and Julian Kelly (hamstring) are out.

Club captain Ivar Ingimarsson and Chris Armstrong played for the reserves last week after lengthy absences but are not ready for consideration.
