Millwall vs Crewe preview

Paul Robinson
Rumours are afoot that Richard Sadlier and Paul Robinson could make a shock return to the Millwall squad for Saturday's Den clash with Crewe Alexandra. However, this could just be Mark McGhee playing mind games with his opposite number as both players have only just returned to full training.

Joe Dolan and Dave Livermore have both made great strides in their bid to regain fitness following knee ligament trouble but are still a long way off from returning to the first team.

Paul Ifill could also be added to the squad if he suffers no reaction from the knock that has kept him out of Millwall's last two matches against Oxford United and Sunderland.

One player definitely going to be involved is new signing Bob Peeters, who was signed on a three-year deal earlier this week.

Noel Whelan
The 6ft 5in striker could partner Neil Harris up front, with either Noel Whelan moving to a left midfield role or on-loan signing Juan returning to the starting line-up.

Meanwhile Crewe Alexandra boss Dario Gradi welcomes back David Vaughan from a hamstring injury, but will definitely be without two other first-team players.

Neil Sorvel faces five weeks on the sidelines with an ankle injury and Richard Walker will sit out the next two weeks with a knee problem.

However, striker Paul Edwards and midfielder Alex Morris, who were suffering from ankle and shin injuries respectively, are back in contention after making their comebacks in a reserve match against Crewe FC in midweek.
