Millwall play their first ever European tie this evening when they take on Hungarian side Ferencvaros at The Den in the UEFA Cup and manager Dennis Wise is hoping the fans will play their part in order to make it a night to remember for all concerned.

Speaking to the club's official website, Millwall's player/manager said: "They will come here and sit as far back as possible to try and frustrate us. It's a night where we're going to have to be patient and the crowd's going to have to be patient.

"They'll want to catch us on the counter, they won't care how many shots they have on goal, even if it's one they'll be happy with that.
But the main thing is that they will not have experienced a place like The Den before.

"I really hope the fans get behind us. We want it to be a loud, hostile atmosphere and make it as hard for them as possible."

Wisey will be The Lions most experienced European campaigner on the field tonight, having won the Cup Winners' Cup while with Chelsea, but both Kevin Muscat and goalkeeper Graham Stack have also had their fair share of such occasions with Glasgow Rangers and Arsenal respectively.

"They have quite a few internationals and that represents a good side," said Muscat. "They've not got where they are by chance so it will be important for us not to concede."

Dichio
Millwall are sweating on the fitness of striker Daniele Dichio will have a late test on a troublesome groin but Barry Hayles is definitely out. For their part, Ferencváros are without suspended winger Szabolcs Huszti while defender Gábor Gyepes is an injury doubt.
