Livermore: In need of a stiff drink
Milwall midfielder David Livermore has decided that the only way to avoid relegation is to take the entire squad to the pub.

With The Lions rock bottom of the Championship, still awaiting their first home win of the campaign, the tough-tackling player believes a bonding session between the players could help them come together on the pitch. And he's not alone.

"I heard that once, during Mick McCarthy's spell as manager, the team went for a good drink and won their next game - so maybe that's what we need," revealed Livermore, referring to the now infamous bash of Christmas 1994 that turned the tide for the club that season.

"Sometimes you need to take a bit of time out and bond as a team.

"So maybe we should have a night out, let our hair down a bit and see if that helps us," he told the club's official website.

Striker Barry Hayles is certainly up for the idea and feels this weekend's break is the perfect opportunity for such a team-building exercise.

"The boys have a few bonding sessions planned, and it will be good to get together and get away from football," Hayles said.

"We need to have a good old chin wag, because there have been quite a few new faces at the club this season.

"The international break is a crucial bonding period for us all."
