Millwall captain Kevin Muscat has raced back from Venezula, where he was playing in an international for Australia, to line-up in The Lions' side to face Preston North End at Deepdale.

Muscat is manager Dennis Wise's only real worry, with Peter Sweeney expected to make the squad after his midweek exploits with the Scottish U-21 squad. Willy Gueret is expected to keep his place in goal despite refusing to sign a new contract with on-loan goalkeeper Andy Marshall warming the bench.

Daniele Dichio leads The Lions attack but Wise may choose to bring in Kevin Braniff over Neil Harris, with new signing John Sutton a possible option on the bench.

Preston meanwhile are without Chris Lucketti, Rob Edwards and Dickson Etuhu while Paul McKenna is rated doubtful. Jonathan Gould could take over from Andy Lonergan in goal after fully recovering from a thigh injury.
