Nowland handed trial

Adam Nowland has become the latest player to attract the interest of Millwall boss Kenny Jackett, with the manager inviting the former Nottingham Forest and Preston North End midfielder for a trial this week.

The 26-year-old drifted out of league football after spells with Blackpool Wimbledon and West Ham and is currently earning a living with non-league outfit Lancaster City but The Lions boss has obviously seen enough to at least give Nowland a trial as he looks to pull the club away from relegation trouble at the foot of League One.

Nowland is set to play in next week's reserve game against Wycombe Wanderers with a decision expected to be taken on the player shortly afterwards.
