A City victory would see them go up this season but The Lions boss wants his side to play to the finish and try to win every game, which should make tomorrow's clash interesting at the very least.
"I believe Bristol City will be promoted," he told the club's official site. "My congratulations go to Gary Johnson and his staff for what they have achieved this season.
"However, I expect our team to make it very difficult for them to secure second spot here at The Den. Our aim is to sign off on a winning note in front of our own fans here, and add City to the list of other clubs near the top of the table who we have beaten since the turn of the year.
"If other results mean that City are still promoted on Saturday then good luck to them. If not then I'm sure they'll complete the job at Ashton Gate next weekend."
