Phillips: Stalling on contract
Depsite insisting that he wants to stay at The Den, Millwall defender Mark Phillips as yet to sign the new contract offered to him last month.

The 23-year-old centre-half, who has had an injury-plagued career at the club, has decided to weigh up his options after failign to cement a first team place last season. And after attracting interest from other clubs, Phillips is stalling on the deal.

"I would like to stay," Phillips told the South London Press. "If that happens, I will look forward to making up for last season, when I was not given much of a chance.

"Under manager Dennis Wise I did very well for three-quarters of the campaign and I went into last season expecting to move up a step. But with all the changes of manager I was not given a chance even though when I did play I thought I did well."
