Pidgeley out for six weeks

Ouch!

First choice keeper Lenny Pidgeley has scuppered manager Willie Donachie's pre-season planning by breaking his foot.

The popular goalie was set to join up with the rest of the squad for the club's short pre-season tour of Scotland, starting in Dundee on Saturday, but is now likely to miss The Lions' opening games of the 2007/08 campaign.

And that will see the veteran Chris Day fighting it out with up-and-coming youngster Preston Edwards for the keeper's jersey over the next few weeks.
