Pidgeley: Signing on
Millwall have completed the signing of Chelsea goalkeeper Lenny Pidgeley.

The highly-rated goalkeeper, who played in The Lions Carling Cup tie against Birmingham City last season on an emergency loan, has signed a three-year deal after being given a free transfer by Chelsea, who have a sell-on clause entitling them to a percentage of any future transfer away from The Den.

"I was here for a brief period on loan last season and really enjoyed my time," the 22-year-old goalkeeper told the club's official site. "There's a good bunch of lads here, and although I've got a year left on my contract at Chelsea, I wanted to come back to Millwall.

"It's important for me personally to try and establish myself as first choice goalkeeper, but at the same I want to help the club get back to The Championship as quickly as possible."

Pidgeley becomes manager Nigel Spackman's second signing, following Darren Byfield's arrival yesterday afternoon.
