Play-off dream alive for Jackett

The Lions raced into a two-goal lead at the New Den and held off a spirited fightback from Leeds before Steve Morison put them 3-1 in-front. Even then Andy O'Brien ensured a nervy finish for the hosts but Jackett said he was happy to have secured three points.

The win puts them four points and one place behind United and the manager said: "The players were excellent.

"I thought overall we deserved to win the game. There were some good performances all the way through.

"Every game we've been chasing and chasing and done well to keep it going.

"We've taken 13 out of 15 points which is some run. We've played some big teams and we needed a big run because we're still four points off sixth. It keeps it alive definitely and we're up to seventh which is our highest position for a while."
