Both clubs were opposed to the move, with The Lions expressing concern over the 7.45pm kick-off time and the affect it would have on the club's travelling fans but the authorites took the decision due to "circumstances outside the norm".
Swansea City have issued an apology to both sets of fans for any inconvenience caused and was at pains to stress that it had nothing to do with either set of fans.
