Pooley culled

Millwall boss Willie Donachie today continued his cull of The Lions playing squad by releasing defender Dean Pooley.

Pooley, 20, made just one appearance for the club when he made substitute appearance at the end of last season at home to Burnley. Despite a loan spell at Beckenham Town back in September, the youngster failed to make any significant strides at the club and became the latest to face the axe following Kevin Braniff's departure.

Elsewhere, Liam Trotter, who joined the club on loan from Ipswich Town, is set to return to the Suffolk club after failing to impress at The Den.
