Posh game moved already

Millwall's festive fixture against Peterborough United has been moved to a 12pm kick-off at the request of Cambridgeshire police.

Officers from the constabulary meet with Posh director Barry Fry just hours after the fixtures were released by the Football League to re-arrange the game, together with The Posh's matches against Leicester City and Leeds United.

"The kick-off times have been brought forward on the advice of the police," Fry told Peterborough Today.

"We have to work together, and we're happy to go along with that because we want to protect the city of Peterborough.

"Leeds, Leicester and Millwall fans have a reputation, and we want to give them less time in the pubs before kick-off."

Peterborough United have seemingly failed to consult Millwall Football Club with regards to fixture change, which is now likely to see a poor turn out from Lions fans due to the shortage of public transport on Boxing Day.
