Whitbread: Hoping to avoid the drop
When Millwall were relegated from The Championship two seasons ago, Zak Whitbread was one of the few players who impressed during that ill-fated campaign.

But the then Liverpool loanee was so taken by the club that opted to leave The Premiership and join The Lions with the understanding that any stay in League One would a temporary one. But after narrowly missing out on the play-offs last year Millwall are now in a relegation dog-fight and the defender knows that The Lions can ill afford another drop.

"It would be horrible but its in our hands to avoid that," said Whitbread. "Millwall in League Two would be a nightmare and a disaster.

"However, we're focused on keeping us up and everyone is up for the task."
