Welsh international Roberts, who played eight times for The Lions before injury brought his professional career to a premature end, will work at The Den on a part-time basis, combining his coaching while still turning out for Dagenham & Redbridge.
Jackett has also added Simon Pullen to his scouting team, having previously worked with The Lions manager at Watford and Swansea City.
