Lions defender Paul Robinson has been ruled out for the rest of the season with suspected cruciate knee ligament damage. The news comes just weeks after it emerged that Mark Phillips would miss the rest of the campaign with a similar problem.

With Joe Dolan also some way off from full fitness and Stuart Nethercott expected to leave the club some time this week, youngster Matt Rees is likely to be recalled from his loan spell with Aldershot Town.

Robinson was stretchered off after just twenty-two minutes during Millwall's defeat at Carrow Road on Saturday and it will come as a major blow to new manager Dennis Wise and Robinson himslef, who had only recently re-established himself in the first team.

There was more bad news for Wise when it also emerged that striker Neil Harris is still some way off from a return to the first team after a scan revealed bruising to his ankle bone.

Physio Gerry Docherty stated: "Over the weekend Chopper wasn't making the progress we had hoped for, and so it wasn't a major surprise to find that this is the reason. It now looks likely to be another two or three weeks before he's back in action."
