Robinson out to enjoy Cup

After a disappointing festive campaign that saw Millwall take just two points from a possible nine, club captain Paul Robinson believes Saturday's FA Cup tie against Crewe Alexandra could not come at a better time.

Speaking to the club's official website, the defender admitted that a break from the league campaign is just the thing the players need to recharge their batteries.

"A break from the league may refresh our minds and get us ready to come back to it," said Robinson. "I think if you'd have offered us 44 points from 23 games at the start of the season we'd have taken it and now it's up to us beat that total in the second half of the season with the next 23 games.

"It's a big challenge. We'll be looking to beat Crewe at home and we want a big tie in the next round and to test ourselves against the best teams," he added.
